When I said I was thinking about braiding for the wedding, Lauren said, after seeing a few pictures, "OK. Fine. But it has to be loose and natural, none of that "I just got back from Jamaica &h!t."
I love the braids on the far left and the ones on scarlett as well. I think you could tuck the veil in the center if you were doing more of the updo. Not so sure about the other one.
My friend annie has taken to wearing her hair like this lately. It's stunning. One benefit of having a west coast mini-bridal shower is that you have an in-house stylist to practice with. I've always wanted to work at the renaissance faire and this will give me an excuse to buy a curling iron for your straight straight hair.
"The difference between the almost right word & the right word is really a large matter--it's the difference between the lightning bug and the lightning."
Mark Twain in a letter to George Bainton, 1888
The Dingmoonmenters
Dingmoon What?
"Dingmoonment" is a blog about the engagement, wedding and honeymoon of two women in the District. Because most names for this type of thing are clunky and contrived, I thought, "Hey, why not go with it?" The deed will be done August 1, 2009. Read more about this blog or drop me a line at dingmoonment@yahoo.com. I'm the one with the lovely locks.
